OUR MISSION:

At St. Matthew Baptist Church, our mission is to honor God by living out our faith in ways that are authentic, relevant, and transformative. We exist to love and serve our community, cultivate spiritual growth, and share the life-giving message of Jesus Christ in practical and meaningful ways. We are committed to being a welcoming and inclusive church where people from every background can encounter faith, hope, and purpose. Through engaging worship, intentional discipleship, and compassionate outreach, we seek to impact lives, strengthen families, and guide individuals toward a deeper, growing relationship with God.

Our vision is to be a life-giving church that serves as a visible source of hope, faith, and unity in our community and beyond. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and informed by the enduring legacy of the Black Baptist tradition, we envision a church that is spiritually vibrant, culturally relevant, and deeply engaged with the world around it. We seek to be an inclusive and affirming community where all people are welcomed, equipped, and empowered to discover their God-given purpose and use their gifts to serve others. Through dynamic worship, intentional discipleship, and transformative outreach, we aim to change lives, strengthen communities, dismantle barriers, and advance justice, compassion, and equity.
