OUR MISSION:

To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the beliefs of the Baptist faith. It is also our mission to maintain the worship of God and to walk together in Christian love; to maintain the Holy ordinances of the church, religiously educate our families, and to promote secret devotions. Our mission is to study diligently the Word of God, to religiously educate our children, and seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances.

Teaming up with our health advisors, Bridgeport Hospital-Yale New Haven Health, St. Matts will be a pop-up COVID vaccination site. If you are 16 years of age or older you will be eligible to make an appointment for a vaccination. More information to come.

UPDATE: March 5, 2021!!

​Beginning June 6, 2021, St. Matthew Baptist Church will begin in-person worship as advised by our medical partners at Bridgeport Hospital-Yale New Haven Health . CDC guidelines will be strictly followed to keep everyone safe. Be advised there will be a change in service time and we are looking to add Sunday School. Please follow all updates on our website.
