St. Matthew Baptist Church
We believe that that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, and that the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God that serves as the final written authority for living out the Christian faith. We believe in the Trinity; God as a simple, undividable, and necessary being, yet having three centers of divine personhood; God as one indivisible spirit. We believe in The Baptist Articles of Faith, the declaration of the Baptist Faith. We believe in religious freedom and respect the expressions of faith of others. We believe in the two ordinances of the church, Baptism and Communion.
A Message from
Rev. Dr. Aaron M. Best, Founder & Senior Pastor
Dear Beloved,
Welcome to St. Matthew Baptist Church. We are honored that you have chosen to join us on this journey of faith, growth, and community. Our prayer is that you experience this church as a place where love is genuine, acceptance is real, and God’s presence is evident in every encounter. Your life, your story, and your gifts matter here, and together they strengthen who we are as a church family.
As we worship, serve, and grow side by side, we seek to create space for hope, healing, and transformation to take root. We believe faith is lived out through unity, compassion, and intentional care for one another, and that what we build together within these walls should extend into our homes, neighborhoods, and beyond.
As Founder and Senior Pastor of St. Matthew Baptist Church, my heart is deeply committed to cultivating a ministry that reflects the breadth of God’s calling and the richness of God’s people. I believe God calls people to preach—not based on appearance, background, or conformity to traditional expectations, but according to God’s own will and purpose. Our role as the Church is not to place limitations on God’s calling, but to create space for discernment, growth, and affirmation of those whom God has chosen to proclaim the Gospel with faithfulness and humility.
May your time at St. Matthew be marked by meaningful relationships, spiritual renewal, and a deeper connection to God’s purpose for your life. As we walk this path together, we are committed to supporting one another, serving faithfully, and celebrating the joy of living out our calling in Christ. Welcome home. We are grateful you are here.
In faith and fellowship,
Rev. Dr. Aaron Best
